Sharon English: Project Manager Olympic Operations
Sharon rose to stardom at the 2006 Commonwealth games where she project managed the DSS operations with skill, ease and professionalism. She has also gone on to project manage the winter Olympics, Spring Racing Carnival, Portsea Polo and more. Sharon has now moved to Vancouver Canada (We Miss You Shaz!!) to set up the Douglas Site Services operations, office and base. Sharon never ceases to amaze us with her can do attitude, no job is too big, too small or too daunting for Shaz.
Scott Booth: Business Manager UK
With over 10 years experience in the cleaning industry Scott is our Event Master. Managing contracts at major events and high profile venues across the UK and Australia Scott is a veteran of the industry and is the brains behind our major event operations. Scott has seen many successes, his major success being the successful building of our NSW business. Scott loves events and thrives on logistics, operations, planning and working with a great team.
Steven Hunter: Chief Executive Officer
Steve has enjoyed a childhood which revolved around the event and venue industry since the early 80’s, so there are no surprises to find that he is still tangled and entranced by the magic of the industry. Steve’s working history has seen him parking cars, taking ticket stubs at turnstiles, checking players accreditation at security points, building stages, straightening chairs, selling popcorn and more recently scrubbing toilets. He has seen some of the most amazing events in the world and found himself in the middle of places he would never have dreamed about. Steve’s magic moment was engaging the first Douglas Site Services employee and he thrives on challenges against the supposed impossible.
Niamh O’Malley: Global Business Manager
Niamh has a strong HR and recruitment working history and has also served time working on the hospitality side of the fence looking after corporate clients at the iconic MCG and other Australian based international events. The opportunity to be a ‘Dougie’ means she gets to utilise her skills and experience – while learning some new tricks - how good is that?! Niamh loves seeing our team develop and grow in skills and experience out of opportunities we create. Niamh’s magic moment was being awarded 7 venues during the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games as a 2 year old company. It goes without saying Niamh’s main motivation is, her team mates, the thrill of the chase, making sure we don’t lose sight of who we are as we grow and most importantly enjoying the ride along the way with integrity, determination and a laugh or four.
Geraldine Kirby: Operations Victoria
GK is our operations guru, having owned various Cafes & Restaurants around Melbourne, Geraldine understands what is required to present each venue at it’s very best. GK’s experience also extends to the event industry where she has managed events such as Midsumma as well as various Warehouse Parties at the docks back in the 80’s. GK’s main motivation is presenting hospitality venues at their best and making people happy along the way. Her magic moments are working within a team, not only the Douglas Site Services team but venue managers, venue staff as well and giving Douglas Site Services staff opportunities to grow, develop and achieve.
Sean O’Malley: Event Manager
Sean is our recently appointed Event Manager for Victoria who brings with him not only a wealth of experience in the event industry but also a background of building, maintenance and services. Sean delivers on both our small & large scale events. He has a passion for waste management, the environment and working with small & large clients. – oh, and he can unblock a toilet in under 5 minutes.
Jodi Griffiths: Business Manager
Jodi is our newly appointed Business Manger and general all rounder. She has diverse experience in Marketing, Business Management and also finds the time to own a restaurant in the Victorian Alps. She is passionate about the cleaning and waste management industry and is working hard to make Events, Venues and Stadiums more sustainable and waste wise. She believes this industry is in the fore front to increase the levels of waste diversion from landfill and make sure our event goers, event organizers and patrons REUSE, REDUCE & RECYCLE.
Kellee Brower: Operations New South Wales
Kellee has been with Douglas Site Services for five years now and looks after our NSW Operations. She has over 10 years management experience and in that time worked on the Sydney Olympic Games Management Team. She is our Venue Presentation and Stadium specialist as well as being an International Gum Removalist Extraordinaire. She has a keen eye for detail and loves working with her team of Venue Presentation Specialists. She is excited about the cleaning and waste industry and loves working on new and challenging projects.
